what’s up for
2024 at Hewn?

I wanted to start off our first newsletter of the year by just chatting a bit. Thank you all so much for subscribing and staying in the loop with us! We’re slowly planning some events for the year ahead and sourcing new merch for the shop. I’m inspired by the amount of people subscribing here from our website and in person at the shop. I’m hoping we can do more with the newsletter this year, opening it up to have some ads/segments from artists, other shop owners, etc.
I’m also inspired by the video I’ve shared below. It’s set to start at about 7:25 minutes into the video, where Isabel starts to talk about the new year and goal setting. She talks about how January, while being a clean slate of a year, is the dead of winter and is a rough time to set a year’s worth of goals. Winter is the chapter of rest in the four seasons, making it a bad time to want ourselves to jump to action. With this in mind, we’re taking this first quarter slow, having some fun music nights here and there and plenty of vintage and secondhand flowing in and out, but not being hard on ourselves as we set ourselves up for the year ahead, starting with some rest and re-setting.

We’ve got a ton of vintage tees, hats, belts, and bags on the way to the shelves. Last week we put out a lot of 90 tees and as those sell we’ll be stocking the racks back up with another huge lot. This next lot is full of super cute 2000s animal tees (wolves, kittens and flowers, etc.)

Save the date! This coming Saturday, January 20th at 6pm, Holly J Chan and Montanaro are stopping by Hewn on their “Tour De Dreams” with guests Molly O’Leary and Myles Goulart. Each artist has new projects coming out this year that they are promoting–come hear the new material!

Andrew is running for Select Board in Fairhaven! He’s putting on this super fun event at the Rescue Cafe, check it out!

Thanks for subscribing! I hope we all have a restful start to the year and look forward to good times ahead! See you soon ❤
